When is Limelight Nationals?
July 2-4, 2026
What is the schedule and location of the events?
July 2-3: Competition at Spatz Theatre, Halifax
July 4: Convention, Red Carpet Gala, Dinner, Final Awards Presentation, Maritime Kitchen Party at Marriott Harbourfront, Halifax
*competition dates are tentative based on registration
Who qualifies for Nationals?
There is no requirement to qualify for nationals. During our regional events, select routines will be invited to compete at nationals, however, all are welcome to attend and registration is open to all dancers.
What if I receive a Golden Ticket Invitational?
Golden Ticket Invitations are awarded to select routines entitling them to a discount on their routine entry fee. The discount will be noted on the Golden Ticket.
How much does it cost to attend Nationals?
Please reach out to your studio for routine fee pricing. Each dancer will pay a $45 Competition Event Fee. There are two packages available:
Competition & Convention Package
$350 per dancer + routine fees. Includes:
• Competition Event Fee
• 4 Hours of Classes with Judges & Special Guest
• Special Guest Meet & Greet
• Red Carpet Gala
• Dinner & Final Awards Presentation
• Maritime Kitchen Party
• Complimentary Competition Photos & Video
Convention ONLY Package
$250 per dancer. Includes:
• 4 Hours of Classes with Judges & Special Guest
• Special Guest Meet & Greet
Can I attend the Convention portion only?
Yes, dancers are welcome to attend the convention only at $250 per dancer.
Who is the Special Guest?
This information is top secret for now, but we can’t wait to tell you!
What is the Special Guest Meet & Greet?
At the Special Guest Meet & Greet, dancers will have the opportunity to receive an autograph and a picture with our Special Guest.
What are the Spectator fees?
Admission to the competition portion is free. Spectator packages for the red carpet gala, dinner, final awards and maritime kitchen party will be available to purchase closer to the event. More information will be made available on our website and social media.
How can I purchase a Spectator Package?
Spectator packages will be available to purchase closer to the event and information will be available on our website and social media.
Do I need to attend the Red Carpet Gala?
This is a special event for dancers, their families, teachers and studio directors to get dressed up and take pictures. Attendance is not required, but highly recommended.
Do I need to attend the Dinner?
Yes. All dancers, their families, teachers and studio directors should attend the dinner, as the final awards from the competition will be presented at this time.
Do I need to attend the Maritime Kitchen Party?
This is a special event for dancers, their families, teachers and studio directors to celebrate their successes. Attendance is not required, but highly recommended.
