(Erin) Kim Turnbull - "Miss Kim"
B.A. Dal. NeuroPsych., C.D.T.A. since 1985 Our Master of Ceremonies, better known in the Dance Community as “Miss Kim’, has been with Limelight Productions since the beginning. She has M.C.’d for dance events throughout the region and has acted as an adjudicator for several Atlantic dance competitions but she says, “Limelight always feels like being home with family”. She has studied and/or taught Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Step Dance, Flamenco, Belly Dance, Character National, African, Social Dance and Country and Western dance forms with some of the most acclaimed teachers of her time. Her training began when she was three years old with Mother Mary Turnbull, leading to her professional qualification through the Canadian Dance Teachers’ Association (C.D.T.A.) in 1985 with further qualifications reached in 1991, 1995 and 2012. Throughout the decades, she has also completed numerous student and teaching level exams in the Russian and N.A.T.D. syllabi. She has held the position of Artistic Director of several multidisciplinary schools throughout her career, has been on the faculty of and has guest taught at dozens of competitive schools coast to coast. ‘Miss Kim’ opened her first studio in Head of St. Margaret’s Bay in September 2001 then went on to open two more studios on the South Shore, in Chester and Bridgewater as well as one in Fall River. To this day these areas continue to thrive as vital dance centres under the direction of our next generation of teachers. Drawing from her performance background in live theatre, television and film, Miss Kim has choreographed and guest performed locally with several Maritime theatre companies including Chester Playhouse and Neptune Theatre. Other credits to her name include having been acknowledged for her contribution to “The Tap Dance Dictionary”, published by MacFarland & Company, acting as Competition Coordinator for the first two C.D.T.A. Atlantic Ballet Festivals, having been a director on the Board of Dance Nova Scotia from 1996-2003 and the Atlantic Vice President of the C.D.T.A., but her most proud accomplishment she says, are her beautiful dancing daughters. Miss Kim is in her 41st year of teaching and has no plans to stop any time soon! |

Kelsey Willmott
Kelsey is a multifaceted artist in the performance world. Her training in dance started with Ballet, Jazz and Tap from the age of three and lead to various styles, such as Acro, Hip Hop and Ballroom, making her an overall versatile dancer. Growing up she trained with the Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede where she had amazing performance opportunities such as dancing for The late Queen of England Elizabeth II. Upon completion of her training, she continued with her career dancing for Carnival Cruise lines. Kelsey moved to Toronto, Ontario to allow her to further her career. From dancing, acting, singing, teaching and choreographing her career has been an amazing ride. She has had the opportunity to appear in numerous music videos, National and International commercials, Awards shows and touring musical theatre shows. Her career has allowed her to perform many places such as Doha; Qatar, Sharjah; UAE, Turks and Caicos, all over the Caribbean, United States and across Canada. Kelsey is grateful for this career which has allowed her to travel, perform and continue with her love for dance and entertaining. Teaching has always been a passion, and she enjoys bringing students into this art form. Watching dancers of all ages learn, grow and find their own love in the movements is something truly special. |

Reece Rowat
Originally from Vancouver, Reece has had the opportunity to work as a performer all across the country and the world! He is now based in Toronto and works regularly as a dancer, and dance educator. Selected performance credits include Orfeo ed Euridice (Canadian Opera Company), Kinky Boots, Beauty and the Beast, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Singin’ in the Rain. (Drayton Ent.), Elf: The Musical (Theatre Aquarius/Drayton Ent.), The Little Mermaid (Capitol), Kyle O’ Boyle in Legally Blonde (Stage West Calgary), Ross Petty’s A Christmas Carol (Elgin Theatre), Snowboy in West Side Story (Rainbow Stage), Les Feux Follets, Soul of the Island (Charlottetown Festival), Godspell, Hello Dolly!, Brantwood 1920-2020 (Theatre Sheridan), the Middle Eastern tour of Pinocchio (Creativiva), and several productions for Carnival Cruise Lines. Film credits include Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (Paramount), The Testaments (HBO), Murdoch Mysteries (CBC), Hudson and Rex (CBC), Accused (Fox), Bring It On: Cheer or Die (SYFY), Tiny Pretty Things (Netflix), A Nutcracker Christmas (Hallmark). As a dance educator, Reece has taught at dozens of studios throughout Canada specializing in jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, choreography and musical theatre.
