At Limelight Productions, our mission is to provide the most personal and professional of services while creating a safe and constructive learning environment for dancers. We pride ourselves in offering professional, well-organized competitions and dance workshops focusing on education and learning for a truly meaningful dance experience. At the cutting edge of the competition and workshop industry, Limelight Productions brings only the finest teachers, judges, and choreographers from around the world to our community.
Executive Directors Robin Isenor-Cantfell and Jocelyne Hope have had the opportunity to attend numerous competitions, workshops and other dance-related events with their own students throughout the past 15 years. They believe these events should celebrate dancers who have reached a point of excellence, dancers who try their very best and instructor’s hard work and commitment to their students.
Limelight Dance Competition started in 2011 and was derived from Robin and Jocelyne’s time speaking with other studio directors and instructors about their needs and those of their dancers. Being from this area and involved in the local dance community, they felt it was time to start a competition while keeping in mind the ideas of local instructors we’ve come to respect.
Limelight is now the fastest-growing competition in the Maritimes. Our recipe for success is simple: we strive to treat Limelight dancers and their families as we want ourselves and our dancers to be treated. Limelight wishes to maintain a high level of competition in a fun, personal, and low-stress atmosphere.
Your sponsorship would allow us to reward more dancers for their hard work and dedication to the art of dance. It will allow us to offer more medals, trophies, and scholarships for these extremely talented youth. Our events this year include over 40 dance schools representing NS, NB and PEI, over 1000 dancers and over 3000 spectators. As a sponsor, in addition to promotion and publicity for your organization, you will also be invited to watch our dance off, The Vault, in which you will be witness to some of the best dancing the Maritimes has to offer.
